Living Room Curtain Fabric

My living room curtain project is taking ages longer than I initially thought. In fact, for the past several weekends, I've been convinced that I would have the four lined panels completed and hung by Sunday evening. Alas, they are not done yet. Only one panel is complete and for some reason for which I cannot yet account it is 4 inches shorter than it's supposed to be. Argh!


I know it's been a while since I've made curtains. It is additionally challenging to make lined curtains, despite the helpful tutorials I've found online. What I've found to be the biggest impediment to my progress is the fact that I don't have enough room anywhere in the house to lay out 100+ inches of fabric for measuring and cutting. Well, there's probably enough room on the living room floor, but I'd rather not have the new curtains covered in dog hair. 


Hopefully, next weekend I will have at least two panels completed and hung. It's chilly in this living room and thermal-lined curtains will be so welcome!
